Once you have purchased a registration number from cheap number plates we will provide you with a certificate of entitlement of which you need to present with your vehicle documents at you local DVLA registration office.

The DVLA will then administer the transfer process and have the details on the car registration documentation changed to represent the number plate that has been transferred.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (the DVLA) is an executive agency of the Department for Transport in Great Britain. It is responsible for maintaining a database of drivers and vehicles in Great Britain.

Any personalised number plate purchased from Cheap Number Plates is supplied on an official Government retention certificate (V750). We sell our own stock and previously un-issued registration numbers and provide simple instructions on how to transfer your chosen number plate to your vehicle or how to hold it on a retention certificate for transfer at a later date.
